Current/OS Partners Involved:

Schneider Electric, World4Solar, Enteligent

Location

Raleigh, North Carolina USA

Setup

2024

Context

This system was implemented by Schneider Electric. This project demonstrated that DC Power was a faster, lower cost and simpler methodology to install Solar + Battery Energy Storage and EV Charging in under 3 months.

Implementation

· Off Grid Solar + Battery + EV Charging
· Load Curtailment when sources become limited
· Current/OS architecture for load management

Benefits

· Renewable Energy to charge EVs
· Fast deployment of EV Charging
· Ability to provide Emergency Power during grid outages
· Lowering Carbon Emissions while charging EVs
· Bridge solution when grid interconnects are long-lead
· Efficiency gains and higher energy density compared with an AC solution

Quote

“Schneider Electric’s innovation mindset shines through in this project, which harnesses the latest technology, including Direct Current Power Distribution, to provide truly clean, low-cost, and efficient EV charging.”
