Solaris EV Charging Park

Current/OS Partners Involved:

Schneider Electric, DC Systems, Cegelec (Vinci Energies), Carlo Gavazzi, Elektro Internationaal, Innoventum, AmperneXt

Location

Grenoble, France

Setup

2024

Context

LVDC microgrid for electric vehicle charging and parking lighting, enabling Schneider Electric Electropole site to create a large EVCS capacity without further powering delay from the main grid.

Implementation

  • 50kW Hybrid AC/DC
  • 66 kWp PV generation
  • 320 kWh Battery storage
  • Monitoring SCADA

Benefits

Efficiency gains with reduced main grid feed-in needs

  • Feed-in power directly comes from solar panels, saving cost and relying on renewable energy

100% Resilient system

  • Current/OS enables self-adjusting consumption based on available power.

Quote

« In a world shifting from a centralized to a decentralized energy distribution, topics as DER integration, efficiency, prosumer and mitigation of gridcongestion are becoming critical to reach our 2050 sustainability goals. Direct Current can play an important role helping the transition to Net Zero specially in applications where sources and loads are DC native. »
